How do you keep your relationship from dying?

With the recent developments in my personal life, I have, once again, appreciated how lucky I am to have such an amazing woman by my side. Is she the same person I married ten years ago? Of course not. Neither am I. Like everything else in life, our relationship changed, with ups and downs as everyone has. And yet, I like to think that we’ve never been happier than now.

When change is the only constant, how do you keep your relationship from crumbling away?

☀️ One new habit to practice

This may be the most powerful relationship exercise I know. It’s a basic feedback format, and what we’ve learned from each other during these sessions is priceless. Every other week we sit down and start the conversion with:

  • What I think I’ve been doing well in the past two weeks is…
  • What I think I could do better going forward is…
  • What I admire you for doing well in the past two weeks is…
  • What I’d like to see more from you is…

Only one rule. When the other talks, you must shut up and listen to listen, not to reply.
